Manga with no anime that deserve your weekend

20th Century Boys reads like a shōnen with a conspiracy thriller strapped to it. Urasawa's chapter cliffhangers should be illegal.

Punpun drawn as a simple bird doodle while everyone else is realistic is one of the boldest design choices in manga.

Which studio for 20th Century Boys? I say Madhouse. They already nailed Urasawa with Monster.

Madhouse for Urasawa makes sense. For A Bride's Story I want a studio that loves fabric and light. Kyoto Animation, please.

The A Bride's Story hardcovers are gorgeous too. Very good shelf flex.
